Role Summary
Senior Scientist II, Process Chemistry positioned to lead organometallic process research and development from pre-clinical stages through commercialization. The role involves conceiving and executing novel organometallic chemistry research to meet project and area goals, conducting high-throughput experimentation (HTE), and contributing to machine learning model development for organometallic chemistry. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential to advance development programs and optimize chemical processes.
Responsibilities
- Conduct chemical process research and development, supporting projects from pre-clinical stages through commercialization.
- Act as a lead scientist in organometallic chemistry to conceive and execute novel scientific research or development that achieves project and area goals.
- Conduct High Throughput Experimentation (HTE) to critically evaluate relevant development programs.
- Contribute to the development of machine learning models applied to organometallic chemistry.
Qualifications
- MS in Chemistry or foreign educational equivalent, with 3 years of academic and/or industrial experience as an organometallic scientist, including: utilizing high-throughput experimentation (HTE) techniques and instrumentation; performing synthesis using organometallic transformations, preparing metal complexes and their structural elucidation; and contributing to machine learning model development using chemical descriptors.
- PhD in Chemistry or foreign educational equivalent, with 1 year of academic and/or industrial experience as an organometallic scientist, including: utilizing high-throughput experimentation (HTE) techniques and instrumentation; performing synthesis using organometallic transformations, preparing metal complexes and their structural elucidation; and contributing to machine learning model development using chemical descriptors.
- Experience may be gained concurrently. Any suitable combination of education, training & work experience accepted.
