Responsibilities:
- Translate scientific questions into well-designed experiments using internal/external resources.
- Explore and recommend among multiple technical approaches based on quality, feasibility, and efficiency.
- Set up and conduct novel molecular and cellular assays/models to support SAR and target biology understanding.
- Document protocols/results in databases and electronic lab notebooks; contribute to formal study reports.
- Uphold research-related and corporate compliance standards.
- Collaborate across the organization; mentor/matrix-manage junior scientists.

Qualifications:
- Bachelorโ€™s (12+ yrs), Masterโ€™s (10+ yrs), or PhD (4+ yrs) in relevant field.
- Thorough theoretical and practical understanding of own scientific discipline.
- Effective writer/communicator of research and regulatory materials.

Desired/Preferred Skills:
- Pharmacological study experience; human iPSC-neuron and clonal cell line culture; assay/equipment selection and development.
- Experience learning/mastering new experimental techniques; strong organization and collaboration; attention to detail; ability to multitask and meet timelines.
- Pharmaceutical drug discovery experience.
- Endpoints: neurotransmitters, receptor signaling, trafficking, neuroplasticity, proteomics.
- Medium/high-throughput methods (e.g., robotics/electronic dispensing, AlphaLISA, HTRF, ELISA, MSD, qPCR, capillary Western, FLIPR, kinetic/endpoint assays, high-content imaging).
- Ex vivo sample assay design, processing, and analysis.
- Additional CNS iPSC-derived cell experience; psychiatry therapeutic area experience; AI tools familiarity.
