Senior Scientist II, Discovery Analytical Chemistry

Role: Senior Scientist in Analytical Chemistry leading method development and characterization for Arrowhead's RNAi-based therapeutics, supporting pharmaceutical development stages. Responsibilities: develop, qualify, and transfer analytical methods; lead characterization studies for drug substances and intermediates; interpret data, troubleshoot, and optimize analytical workflows; oversee external testing at CDMOs; author regulatory documentation; collaborate across R&D, manufacturing, QC, regulatory, and external partners; ensure compliance with GMP, ICH, FDA, EMA standards; and contribute to regulatory submissions and responses. Requirements: PhD in analytical chemistry or related field with 5+ years (PhD) or M.S. with 8+ years, or B.S. with 10+ years of relevant pharma experience; extensive expertise in oligo, mAb, ADC, or AOC analytical techniques, especially chromatography (HPLC, UHPLC); GMP environment experience; proficiency in method validation, transfer, and lifecycle management; strong problem-solving, scientific writing, and cross-functional collaboration skills. Preferred: experience with SEC-MALS, supporting biologics/complex modalities, managing external labs, and knowledge of ICH guidelines.
