Senior Scientist II, Biologics Drug Product Development

Role: Senior Scientist II in biologics drug product process development within AbbVie's R&D, focusing on formulation, process development, modeling, scale-up, and technology transfer for biologics (proteins, conjugates, peptides, neurotoxins) and genetic medicines (AAV, LNPs, Cell Therapy). Responsibilities: lead formulation and process research, support scale-up and tech transfer activities, drive scientific innovation, and collaborate across discovery, analytical R&D, bioprocess, and manufacturing teams; represent Bio DPD in cross-functional CMC and device strategy teams. Qualifications: PhD in Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related; 4+ years industry experience; proven problem-solving skills; hands-on experience with biologics or genetic medicines, sterile manufacturing operations, characterization, scale-down models, regulatory filings, and drug process development; experience leading cross-functional projects. Preferred: biologics formulation expertise, knowledge of cGMP/regulatory guidelines, third-party manufacturing management, and risk management strategies.
