Clinical Research and Development
Role Overview
The R&D Process Engineering team designs and develops scalable processes to make drug substances and drug products (small molecules and ADCs) through pre-clinical/clinical stages, supporting scale-up, tech transfer, control strategies, and regulatory documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop robust manufacturing processes and support assets through all development phases.
- Participate in/lead project teams for development and characterization of small/large molecule assets; establish and execute research plans.
- Develop commercial-ready processes in lab and demonstrate in pilot plant.
- Set project strategies, define responsibilities/timelines, and lead in a matrixed environment.
- Solve problems in reactions, separations, and/or isolations using reaction kinetics, transport phenomena, and mathematical modeling.
- Apply process analytical technologies and data-rich experimentation; model-guided experimentation.
- Build data/knowledge-driven models to enable scale-up and tech transfer.
- Author/review technical documents and contribute to regulatory filings.
- Collaborate cross-functionally; communicate recommendations; publish and present at conferences.
Qualifications
- BS/MS/PhD in Chemical/Bio Engineering or related field; 12+ (BS), 10+ (MS), or 4+ (PhD) years relevant industrial experience.
- Demonstrated capability modeling ADC kinetics/mechanisms.
- Experience with drug linker and drug substance process design (tech transfer/scale-up).
- Development of flow chemistry reactor platforms for ADCs.
- Experience with highly potent compound handling.
- Leadership in novel reactor configurations (e.g., photochemistry, electrochemistry, membrane reactors).
- Expertise in computational fluid dynamics for reactor design/tech transfer.
- Strong team player; effective oral/written communication; scientific leadership.
Benefits (explicitly stated)
- Paid time off; medical/dental/vision insurance; 401(k) (eligible employees); long-term incentive program eligibility.
Application instructions: Not provided.
