Senior Scientist I, Quality Control

Role: Senior Scientist I, Quality Control, supporting analytical assay development and execution for clinical and commercial viral vector programs, primarily Adenovirus and Herpesvirus. Responsibilities include performing cell-based assays, ELISA, HPLC, qPCR, and validation of methods; collaborating with manufacturing, tech transfer, and cross-functional teams; and training staff. The role involves managing data, developing SOPs, and troubleshooting assays within a GMP environment. Qualifications: PhD or equivalent in biology, chemistry, or biochemistry; extensive hands-on experience in QC in biotech/pharma, including support for drug substance and drug product release; expertise in analytical techniques like HPLC, ELISA, qPCR, electrophoresis; and knowledge of GxP and ICH guidelines. Preferred: Experience with viral vectors, biologics, and cross-functional collaboration across development to QC lifecycle. The position is based onsite in Needham, MA, with no specified travel requirements.
