PCS Data System Owner
Responsibilities:
- Partner with Information Research, PCS data system vendors, and contract staff/consultants to develop workflow templates, custom fields/calculations, and other functionality in core enterprise data systems (e.g., Prestima, Ponemah, SEND) to support PCS business needs.
- Serve as the voice of scientists and Dev Sci system users for system issues and enhancements to enable current and new data/digital capabilities.
- Provide system user training for new implementations and upgrades; help scientists troubleshoot data system issues to enable and improve PCS workflows and data flows.
- Support user requirements engineering with PCS functions; consult on “as-is” vs. “enhanced” platform suitability and “buy vs. build” decisions aligned to PCS data/systems architecture.
- Collaborate with vendors (with BTS/IR IT System Owner) and manage functional life cycle (update, upgrade, enhancement) of business platforms.
- Apply Agile methodology to deliver efficient systems/applications development with rapid iteration of enhancements.
- May mentor/supervise contractors and is accountable for their performance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, typically 10 years’ experience; OR Master’s degree or equivalent, typically 8 years’ experience; OR PhD, typically 0 years’ experience.
