Clinical Research and Development
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage technology development projects and therapeutic peptide hit generation efforts.
- Use phage-display and/or mRNA-display peptide technologies, including designing/generating peptide display libraries, screening against therapeutic targets, and identifying/maturing pharmaceutically relevant hits.
- Leverage a peptide microarray platform to accelerate hit identification and maturation.
- Develop in-house peptide display workflows using the peptide microarray platform (library design/generation, target screening, NGS, large-scale data analysis).
- Assess advanced library-modification technologies (e.g., chemical modification, non-canonical amino acids).
- Analyze NGS and other large-scale datasets using proprietary tools.
- Conduct autonomous lab/method development; formulate conclusions and design follow-on experiments.
- Author publications/presentations/regulatory documents and/or patents; communicate results to diverse audiences.

Required Qualifications/Skills:
- BS with 10 years, MS with 8 years, or PhD (no experience required) in molecular biology, microbiology, biochemistry, chemical/biological engineering, or related fields.
- Thorough knowledge of chemical biology as it relates to peptides/proteins/biomolecules.
- Experience with mRNA-display and/or phage-display libraries (design/generation, screening, data analysis).
- Proficiency generating and analyzing NGS datasets; data-science coding skills (e.g., Python) or willingness to learn.
- Ability to learn new techniques, multitask, meet timelines, and effectively write/communicate research.

Preferred:
- Non-canonical amino acid incorporation in mRNA-Display/Phage-Display.
- Peptide therapeutics discovery/development experience.
- Automation to scale molecular biology/microbiology workflows.

Benefits (if eligible):
- Paid time off; medical/dental/vision insurance; 401(k); eligible for short-term incentive programs.
