Role: Process engineer supporting API and natural products projects through late-stage development, commercialization, and product lifecycle. Responsibilities include developing scalable, robust processes for modalities like small molecule APIs, antibody drug conjugates, peptides, and natural products; assessing process robustness, scale-up risks, and technical feasibility from lab to manufacturing; and troubleshooting product failures. Collaborates cross-functionally with technical, quality, and regulatory teams, as well as manufacturing personnel. Requires strong application of chemical engineering principles (kinetics, transport phenomena, thermodynamics, modeling), experimental design, data analysis, and scientific initiative. Maintains autonomous performance in lab and pilot plant settings, authoring technical and regulatory documents, and mentoring colleagues. Qualifications: BS, MS, or PhD in chemical engineering or related field with 0+ to 10+ years of relevant industrial experience depending on degree. Requires thorough scientific understanding, excellent communication skills, and adherence to GxP, safety, and compliance standards. High-value specifics: support for late-stage development and commercialization of biopharma APIs and natural products; cross-functional collaboration; emphasis on process scale-up, troubleshooting, and scientific innovation.
