Senior Scientist I, Early Target Generation

Role: Senior Scientist I in Protein Sciences within AbbVie's Discovery Biotherapeutics and Genetic Medicine group, focusing on early-stage target and therapeutic program design in Immunology and Neuroscience. Responsibilities: express complex proteins (cytokines, membrane, extracellular), design stable soluble/membrane targets for functional studies and antibody discovery, collaborate cross-functionally with Immunology and Neuroscience teams, and work with vendors and CROs for antigen production. Qualifications: Ph.D., M.S., or B.S. in Biochemistry, Molecular/Cell Biology with 0-12+ years' relevant experience; expertise in mammalian protein expression (HEK293, CHO), molecular biology, and protein analytical techniques; experience with purification, AI/ML workflows, and vendor management preferred.
