Description
Wave Life Sciences seeks a motivated and detail-oriented Scientist with expertise in bioanalytical and Drug Metabolism and Pharmacokinetics (DMPK) to support drug development programs from preclinical through clinical stages. Hybrid work arrangement in Lexington, MA.
Experience/Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Pharmacokinetics, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biochemistry, or related field with 3+ years relevant experience, or M.S. with 6+ years industry experience.
- Experience supporting RNA-based modalities (e.g., siRNA, antisense oligonucleotides, GalNAc conjugates).
Responsibilities
- Independently design, execute, and interpret in vitro and in vivo ADME/PK/PK-PD studies.
- Analyze/interpret PK, TK, and PK/PD data using tools such as Phoenix WinNonlin; perform NCA and exposure-response analyses.
- Represent DMPK in cross-functional project team meetings.
- Plan/execute/deliver DMPK deliverables from lead selection to IND stage.
- Collaborate with bioanalysis, discovery research, toxicology, clinical pharmacology, regulatory, and external CROs.
- Prepare scientific reports and integrate DMPK data into regulatory documents (IND, CTA, briefing documents).
- Manage internal/external CRO DMPK activities (DDI, plasma protein binding) to deliver high-quality data.
- Stay current on regulatory guidance and scientific advances in bioanalysis/DMPK.
Key Skills
- Proficient in Phoenix WinNonlin and NCA; graphical analysis using Phoenix WinNonlin, R, or similar.
- PK/PD knowledge; familiarity with regulatory requirements for nonclinical DMPK.
- Expertise in plasma protein binding and in vitro DDI (e.g., CYP inhibition/induction, transporter interactions).
- Strong communication, organization, and teamwork.
- Bioanalysis experience (metabolite ID, biodistribution, etc.); modeling/simulation experience is a plus.
Compensation/Benefits (if applicable)
- Annual base salary range: $157,000β$213,000. Eligible for discretionary bonus and stock-based long-term incentives; comprehensive benefits including company-sponsored medical/dental/vision/life and disability insurance, paid time off (including week-long summer and winter shutdowns), 401(k) with matching, and Employee Stock Purchase Program.
