Senior Scientist I, Analytical Development

Role: Senior Scientist I in Analytical Development supporting biologics (antibodies, ADCs) at BioNTech, focusing on method development, optimization, and lifecycle management. Responsibilities: perform hands-on assay development, generate and interpret data for product development, support qualification/validation, contribute to regulatory documentation, and collaborate cross-functionally to improve laboratory processes. Requirements: PhD in Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, or Pharmaceutical Sciences with 6+ years (post-doc) or MS with 8+ years industry experience; expertise in physiochemical methods such as HPLC, icIEF, CE-SDS; strong understanding of biologics CMC strategies; proven teamwork and problem-solving skills; willingness to travel domestically and internationally. Preferred: experience with BLA-enabling characterization and late-stage/BLA projects. High-Value: biologics (antibodies, ADCs), analytical method lifecycle activities, regulatory support, CMC focus, and cross-functional collaboration. Work setup: on-site in Gaithersburg, MD, with domestic and international travel.
