Operations
Responsibilities:
- Lead the analytical aspects of a project including method development and validation, control strategy development, specification justification, data generation, and regulatory submission contributions.
- Use analytical techniques relevant to peptide product development including mass spectrometry, chromatography, amino acid analysis, advanced separation techniques, and higher-order structure studies.
- Apply advanced analytical techniques to generate extended characterization data packages to build product knowledge and support regulatory requirements.
- Develop analytical controls and testing across API processes (starting materials, intermediates, impurities, and API).
- Formulate conclusions and design follow-on experiments based on multidisciplinary data.
- Initiate scientifically meaningful investigations that can be incorporated into R&D programs.
- Process, interpret, and visualize data to support project decisions.
- Communicate and collaborate with cross-functional groups.
- Demonstrate scientific initiative and creativity in lab activities; maintain high lab productivity.
- Adhere to corporate standards for code of conduct, safety, material handling, and GxP compliance (where applicable).
Qualifications:
- Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry with 0β4 years of peptide-related industry experience.
- Strong chromatography knowledge; ability to develop, troubleshoot, and improve methods (e.g., UHPLC, GC, IC).
- Highly autonomous; productive in independent laboratory research or method development.
- Strong analytical chemistry background and problem-solving; capable of independently developing and troubleshooting methods.
- Familiarity with forced degradation, impurity tracking, and stability requirements for peptide products.
- Self-motivated, hard-working, detail-oriented; able to work in a fast-paced team.
- High-quality written and oral communication; effective interaction with interdisciplinary scientists and engineers.
Preferred:
- Understanding of cGMP and regulatory requirements.
- Practical knowledge of modern peptide manufacturing processes and organic/functional group/chemistry.
- Familiarity with chemical biology fundamentals and related analytical techniques (e.g., recombinant protein expression/purification, cell culture, immunoassays, gels).
