Main Responsibilities
- Lead the design, optimization, and implementation of ultra-high-throughput protein and antibody expression platforms supporting therapeutic discovery
- Oversee day-to-day operations of automated systems (Tecan/Hamilton) and integrated robotic platforms
- Drive innovation and scalability of the high-throughput expression platform for complex protein variant production
- Independently manage multiple complex projects in a fast-paced, matrixed R&D environment
- Partner with cross-functional teams (Antibody Discovery, Protein Production, Protein Engineering)
- Develop and implement data-driven approaches to protein production using biological registration and data management systems (Genedata Biologics, Spotfire, Pipeline Pilot)
- Mentor junior scientists and foster scientific excellence
- Present findings to senior leadership and external partners; contribute through publications, patents, and conference presentations
- Identify and evaluate emerging technologies and methodologies in large molecule research
Education / Qualifications
- Masterโs degree with minimum 2 years of research laboratory or biopharma/biotech experience OR
- Bachelorโs degree in biology or related field with minimum 4 years of research laboratory or biopharma/biotech experience
Experience & Technical Skills
- High-throughput automation workflows using Tecan/Hamilton and integrated robotic systems
- Transient mammalian protein and antibody expression; troubleshoot complex expression; optimize transfection strategies using recombinant DNA
- Biological registration/data management systems (Genedata Biologics, Spotfire, Pipeline Pilot) and data integrity/workflow efficiency improvements
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office
