Senior Scientist (Laboratory-based) β Vaccine Analytical R&D at West Point, Pennsylvania.
Role Responsibilities:
- Solve complex analytical problems at the interface of biology, chemistry, and lab informatics to enable development of vaccine adjuvants.
- Develop state-of-the-art analytical techniques (e.g., HPLC/CE/SEC; UV-Vis/IR/Fluorescence) and perform separations and molecular structure characterization.
- Collaborate in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary team to support process development, formulation development, vaccine investigations, and method lifecycle management.
Education Minimum Requirements:
- Ph.D. in analytical chemistry, chemistry, biochemistry, biomedical engineering, or related field; or
- M.S. with 4+ years biotech/pharmaceutical industry experience; or
- B.S. with 7+ years biotech/pharmaceutical industry experience.
Required Experience/Skills:
- In-depth separation science knowledge for small molecules (HPLC, CE, LC-MS) demonstrated by publications.
- Strong oral/written communication; ability to work independently and cross-functionally.
- Demonstrated scientific ability via publications and conference presentations.
Preferred Experience/Skills:
- Qualification/validation/transfer of assays to GLP or regulated environments (ICH Q2, USP).
- Represent analytical functional area on project teams; author/review technical reports and regulatory sections (e.g., IND/BLA).
- Design/execute/review release, characterization, and stability assays for clinical trial and product/process development.
