- Apply scientific judgment to adapt standard methods; forecast and plan resource requirements; develop novel processes and ideas; mentor team members.

Role Responsibilities
- Independently design, execute, and interpret studies; design subsequent experiments based on data.
- Monitor results, identify problems, and develop solutions.
- Facilitate technology/assay transfers internally/externally.
- Contribute at department/project levels and represent the group on multidisciplinary teams.
- May present at national/international forums.
- Author/review technical reports, manufacturing documents, regulatory submissions, and publications.
- Identify process improvement and technology development opportunities and propose solutions.

Qualifications
Must Have
- Bachelor’s (9–11 years), Master’s (7–8 years), or PhD (0–3 years) experience.
- Degree in chemistry, biochemistry, chemical engineering, or related field.
- Direct experience with antibodies, proteins, and/or bioconjugation.
- Analytical protein characterization knowledge (HPLC, IEF, CE-SDS).
- Willingness to work with highly potent cytotoxic molecules.
- Ability to perform complex data analysis; excellent oral and written communication.
- Foundational understanding of organic chemistry, reaction mechanisms, and process development.

Nice to Have
- Tangential flow filtration; JMP/statistical software for experimental design and data analysis.
- GMP manufacturing; familiarity with CMC; technology transfer to manufacturing.
- Familiarity with chemical synthesis, protein modification, bioconjugation chemistry, and analytical technologies in process development.
