Job Responsibilities
- Drive scientific planning, strategy, and execution of Phase 1–4 clinical studies.
- Lead clinical/scientific execution of clinical protocols and serve as lead clinical scientist on the trial team.
- Collaborate with the Medical Writer on clinical/scientific and regulatory documents.
- Partner with the Study Manager on study deliverables; participate in study start-up (e.g., database set up/design).
- Lead medical monitoring: review/interpret clinical data and medical protocol deviations with the Clinical Director.
- Coach/mentor team members; may manage direct reports (resource assignment, development, performance).
- Serve as a subject matter expert and/or participate on process improvement teams.

Qualifications & Required/Preferred Skills
- Apply strong knowledge of clinical research regulatory requirements (GCP/ICH).
- Manage multiple priorities; strong planning/time management.
- Advanced analytical skills to interpret clinical trial data and synthesize conclusions.
- Stakeholder interaction and strategic, proactive leadership.
- Influence internal/external decisions; delegate effectively.
- Problem solving, conflict resolution, critical thinking.
- Advanced communication, technical writing, and presentation skills.

Education/Experience (Preferred)
- Bachelor’s +9 years (ophthalmology preferred) in pharma/clinical development/project/medical field, or
- Master’s +6 years, or
- PhD/PharmD +2 years; life sciences degree preferred.

Compensation/Benefits (Explicit)
- Salary range: $117,000.00–$184,200.00; annual bonus and long-term incentive (if applicable). Comprehensive benefits include medical/dental/vision, retirement (401(k)), paid holidays, vacation, and sick/compassionate days.
