Responsibilities
- Author analytical procedures, development/validation protocols and reports, technical reports, experimental designs, and regulatory submission documents.
- Perform investigations with strong technical troubleshooting skills.
- Provide documentation/technical input during regulatory and internal inspections/audits; maintain working knowledge of data integrity.
- Train staff as needed on analytical techniques and problem solving.
- Influence external manufacturing sites to identify, implement, and troubleshoot lab test methods/workflows and material to ensure compliant, robust, responsive supply.

Education Requirements
- MS in Chemistry (or related) + 5+ years relevant pharmaceutical development experience; or PhD in Analytical Chemistry (or related).

Required Qualifications
- Working knowledge of analytical techniques for commercial testing of raw materials, intermediates, and drug substances.
- Strong verbal/written communication; ability to work in a dynamic environment (internal/external communications).
- Strong interpersonal skills across cultures; flexibility and sensitivity.
- Self-motivated ownership/accountability; drive issues to completion.
- Ability to adapt quickly and manage risks.
- Willingness to travel abroad.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience developing analytical techniques (e.g., chromatography, spectroscopy) and product specifications for drug substance development/registration.
- Fundamental synthetic (organic) chemistry knowledge; API development/commercialization knowledge.
- Experience with CDMOs/CROs and cross-functional teams.

Required Skills (examples)
- Analytical method development, chromatography, spectroscopy, proteomics, chemometrics/chemometrics, PAT, data-driven decision making, synthetic biology, mass spectrometry based proteomics.
