Responsibilities:
- Serve as scientific/technical expert in antibody repertoire sequencing (RepSeq/AIRR-Seq/BCR-Seq) for therapeutic antibody discovery and hit expansion (bulk, 10X, and other platforms).
- Collaborate with computational scientists to optimize repertoire analysis and enable antibody discovery via repertoire-guided machine learning and generative design.
- Generate, document, and archive repertoire data with appropriate context/metadata.
- Analyze and interpret results in scientific context; review literature and present findings in team meetings.
- Present data, communicate effectively, and coordinate work in a matrixed project environment.
- Drive scientific excellence across multiple fast-paced projects; maintain a can-do attitude across teams.
Qualifications:
- BS/MS/PhD in immunology, molecular biology, biochemistry, bioinformatics, or related field; typically 0β4+ years (PhD), 8β10+ (MS), or 10β12+ (BS) relevant experience.
- Expertise in immunoglobulin genetics/antibody biology: diversity generation (V(D)J recombination, somatic hypermutation), affinity maturation, B cell biology.
- Technical expertise in isolating antibody variable region genes for NGS and capturing RepSeq/AIRR-Seq/BCR-Seq (single-chain and paired heavy/light recovery).
- Knowledge of NGS platforms (Illumina NextSeq/MiSeq; PacBio) and molecular biology techniques (PCR, primer design, cloning, Gibson Assembly, plasmid design).
- Ability to improve/streamline processes; strong quality/attention to detail and documentation.
- Proficiency with PipeBio (antibody analysis), Geneious/Sequencher (DNA analysis), and MS Office.
- Fluency in computational science; familiarity with predictive AI/ML tools and protein language models (PLMs).
Desirable:
- Non-human/non-murine immunogenetics; experience with large-scale bioinformatics/computational analysis; in vitro library RepSeq; mammalian cell culture/transfection; ELISA/flow cytometry.
