As a Chemistry Senior Scientist in the ADC Innovation Unit, you will help design and synthesize the payloads, linkers and linker-payloads required to prepare ADCs. You may also be involved in the conjugation step, attaching linker-payloads to antibodies.
Your contributions:
- Work with a team designing and producing protein degraders, ADCs and other targeted therapeutics
- Design, synthesize, and purify small molecules, peptides, potent payloads, and potentially conjugate them to proteins
- Work in a safe manner, using appropriate containment for potent compounds
- Use NMR and HPLC/UPLC techniques to prove the identity and purity of prepared compounds
- Prepare presentations and work cross-functionally (e.g., formulation, drug delivery, pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics)
- Liaise with BioNTech partners, CROs and CDMOs
A Good Match:
- Ph.D. in synthetic organic chemistry; 3+ years of industry experience developing PROTACs, molecular glues, or other protein degraders
- Hands-on experience preparing complex organic molecules and using HPLC, LC-MS and NMR for purification/analysis
- Proven track record of creative thinking and consistent delivery (publications and presentations)
- Excellent interpersonal, networking, and communication skills
- Ability to work on site in the synthetic laboratory
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience with analytical methods used in degrader development; experience in molecular modeling and ADC chemistry
Your Benefits (highlights):
- Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance; Life, AD&D, Critical Illness Insurance; HSA/FSA
- Paid Time Off; 401(K) Plan with Company Match; Tuition Reimbursement; Professional Development
- Commuting allowance and subsidized parking
