Role: Lead design and optimization of affinity chromatography technologies for diverse biopharmaceutical modalities, focusing on advancing bioprocessing performance and partner success. Responsibilities: conduct high-throughput experimentation, apply DOE methodologies for process development, analyze complex datasets to inform decision-making, collaborate cross-functionally with chemistry, analytics, and commercial teams, contribute to multiple development programs ensuring quality and timeliness, propose innovative purification approaches, and engage with external biopharma partners as a scientific expert. Qualifications: MS or PhD in Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field; at least 5 years' experience in downstream processing, protein purification, and chromatography (including FPLC); expertise in multiple modalities such as proteins, enzymes, vaccines, VLPs, or gene therapy vectors; strong skills in chromatography method development, automated/high-throughput systems, and DOE; working knowledge of analytical techniques for purity, potency, and stability; broad understanding of bioprocessing and protein chemistry; excellent communication skills.
