Role: Senior Scientist in Cardiovascular Discovery Biology focusing on atherosclerosis, contributing to target identification, validation, and biomarker development within Pfizer's R&D pipeline. Responsibilities: design and implement cellular, molecular, and animal model experiments to elucidate mechanisms of plaque progression; generate and interpret data; collaborate with external academic partners and internal teams; communicate findings via publications and presentations; mentor junior staff; uphold scientific integrity and regulatory compliance. Requirements: Ph.D. in Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, or Cardiovascular Biology; 1-2 years postdoctoral or industry experience in drug discovery or translational research; expertise in cardiovascular disease, especially atherosclerosis; proficiency with in vitro/in vivo models, including foam-cell assays, molecular techniques, imaging, and rodent models. Preferred: experience with human genetic and multi-omics data, drug discovery, and neurovascular diseases. High-Value: cardiovascular target discovery, translational research, preclinical models, and biomarker work. Work Setup: On-premises in the U.S., with possible relocation support; no mention of travel.
