The Senior Research Statistician, Statistics provides statistical support to the research and development organization, including clinical trial work, in partnership with cross-disciplinary experts.
Major Job Responsibilities
- Contribute to design, analysis, and reporting of clinical trials or other scientific research studies; assist with protocols and/or statistical analysis plans for programming implementation.
- Assist with selecting data collection instruments; identify and report data issues or study assumption violations; provide programming specifications for derived variables and analysis datasets; collaborate with Data Science for database lock.
- Perform statistical analyses per the analysis plan; collaborate with Statistical Programming to deliver high-quality outputs on agreed timelines.
- Develop data presentation and inference strategy; ensure appropriate interpretation of statistical deliverables; collaborate on scientific publications.
- Ensure accuracy and internal consistency of reports and publications (tables, listings, figures) and the statistical component.
- Work with cross-functional teams; explain statistical concepts to non-statisticians; support communications between product teams and functional management.
Qualifications
- Minimum: MS (4+ years) or PhD in Statistics/Biostatistics or highly related field.
- Able to perform statistical computations and simulations.
- Experience with pharma clinical trials (internship or employment).
- High technical competence and effective oral/written communication.
- Preferred: Experience in oncology.
