Principal Responsibilities:
- Design and execute biophysical assays across modalities, with a focus on SPR; include TSA, DSF, and MST.
- Evaluate and implement cellular ligand binding/characterization techniques (e.g., BRET, NanoBRET, and high-throughput cellular target engagement assays).
- Design, develop, and execute biochemical plate-based assays (e.g., TR-FRET, FP, alphaLISA).
- Conduct mechanism-of-action studies of ligand binding and degrader characterization using cellular and biochemical assays.
- Manage CRO outsourcing for biochemical and biophysical assays (e.g., ASMS), as needed.
- Capture data, upload to databases, and present assay development and troubleshooting results clearly in group meetings.
- Partner with project teams to plan work, generate data for drug discovery/development programs, and troubleshoot technical/scientific challenges to deliver critical data.
- Serve as Platform Lead scientist for assigned projects; coordinate Platform activities and act as primary point of contact for biochemical/biophysical needs.
- Apply strong organizational/prioritization skills; analyze data using biochemistry/biophysics knowledge and troubleshoot to deliver critical data.
- Organize experimental results for project teams; maintain clear experimental records using ELN (electronic lab notebook).

Qualifications:
- Skilled, motivated bench scientist with excellent communication and organizational skills; effective in a dynamic team setting.
- Strong background in protein biochemistry and biophysics; expertise in protein-ligand interactions, induced proximity approaches, or cellular ligand interactions (plus).
- Experience designing, executing, and analyzing protein-protein and protein-ligand experiments using biophysical and/or biochemical techniques; cellular target engagement experience (plus).
- Demonstrated SPR experience; additional plate-based assay and instrumentation experience across TR-FRET, FP, alphaLISA, ASMS, and TSA (plus).
- Proficiency in problem solving and analytical thinking.
- Experience outsourcing CRO work and managing projects/timelines.
- Ability to work without current or future VISA sponsorship (no VISA sponsorship provided).
- Lab-based role; must be able to lift/carry 15/30 pounds (with or without accommodation), work with biological/infectious/hazardous materials with appropriate PPE, and communicate and use a computer during standard business hours.

Education:
- BS with 7+ years of pharma/biotech or academic experience, or PhD with 2+ years of pharma/biotech or academic experience, focusing on biophysical and/or biochemical assay execution.
