Role: Senior Research Associate supporting microbial strain engineering for recombinant protein production. Responsibilities: design and assemble plasmids using molecular biology techniques, conduct sequencing and genotyping, prepare microbial strains and conduct functional assays, maintain microbial banks, and support laboratory operations. Collaborate with discovery, bioprocess development, and analytical teams to optimize strain development. Requirements: Bachelorโs (5-7 yrs) or Masterโs (3-5 yrs) in Bioengineering, Microbiology, Biochemistry, or related field; extensive hands-on experience in DNA assembly, microbial culture, and lab techniques; strong organizational and communication skills; ability to troubleshoot experiments independently. Preferred: experience engineering microbial hosts like E. coli, yeast, or fungi; familiarity with flow cytometry, protein purification, and bioinformatics tools such as Benchling and Geneious.
