Research Associate or Associate Scientist (Oligo Chemistry and Biochemistry Research)
Responsibilities:
- Play a key role in LC/MS-based bioanalytical chemistry with synthetic oligonucleotides for multiple projects/targets.
- Perform oligonucleotide extraction protocols (LLE, SPE, immunoprecipitation, etc.) for sample preparation.
- Conduct in vitro stability assays of synthetic oligonucleotides in biological matrices.
- Characterize and identify oligonucleotide metabolites from in vivo experiments using analytical techniques such as LC/MS.
- Operate and maintain lab equipment (LC/MS, UV spectrophotometer, Nanodrop, centrifuge, etc.).
- Maintain detailed written/electronic records of protocols and data.
- Present results in written and oral formats within a multidisciplinary team.
- Establish and maintain strong working relationships with team and internal partners.
- In-person role in Cambridge, MA, five days a week.
Qualifications:
- B.S. or M.S. in Chemistry, Analytical or Bioanalytical chemistry; 1β5 years of laboratory experience.
- Experience/understanding of extracting oligonucleotides (or small molecules/biopolymers) from biological matrices.
- LC/MS analysis of oligonucleotides (preferred).
- Laboratory software experience (ChemDraw, GraphPad preferred).
- Demonstrable organizational/time-management skills.
- Highly productive and innovative in a fast-paced environment.
Compensation/Benefits (explicitly stated):
- Annual base salary range: $72,000β$98,000. Discretionary annual bonus and discretionary stock-based long-term incentives.
