Description:
Wave Life Sciences is seeking a Research Associate or Associate Scientist in Oligo Chemistry and Biochemistry Research to join its team in Cambridge, Massachusetts. In this role, you will work on LC/MS-based bioanalytical chemistry, oligonucleotide stability assays, and oligonucleotide metabolite identification for discovery and preclinical activities.

Experience / Qualifications:
- B.S. or M.S. in Chemistry, Analytical or Bioanalytical chemistry with 1–5 years of laboratory experience.
- Experience or understanding of oligonucleotide (or small molecules/biopolymers) extraction from biological matrices.
- Experience or understanding of LC/MS analysis of oligonucleotides (highly preferred).
- Experience with laboratory software such as ChemDraw and GraphPad (preferred).
- Demonstrable organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to be highly productive and innovative in a fast-paced work environment.

Responsibilities:
- Perform LC/MS-based bioanalytical chemistry with synthetic oligonucleotides across multiple projects/targets.
- Execute oligonucleotide extraction protocols (LLE, SPE, immunoprecipitation, etc.) for sample preparation.
- Conduct in vitro stability assays of synthetic oligonucleotides in biological matrices.
- Characterize and identify oligonucleotide metabolites from in vivo studies using analytical techniques such as LC/MS.
- Operate and maintain lab equipment (LC/MS, UV spectrophotometer, Nanodrop, centrifuge, etc.).
- Maintain detailed written and electronic experimental records per company policy.
- Present results in written and oral formats within a multidisciplinary team.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with team members and internal collaborators.
- In-person role at the Cambridge, MA location, five days a week.

Pay/Benefits (if applicable):
- Annual base salary range: $72,000–$98,000.
- Eligible for discretionary annual bonus and discretionary stock-based long-term incentives.
