About The Position:
Reporting to Senior Scientist, Cellular Immunology, Preclinical Research, the Research Associate/Sr. Research Associate will perform cell-based and in vitro/ex vivo assays to support discovery and development of novel therapeutics. Will also generate and maintain cell lines to support new cellular immunology assays. Potential impact in molecular biology, immunology, and cell therapy development.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and expand, bank, and manage cell lines (including primary cells)
- Generate cell lines using lentivirus technology for suspension cell lines
- Perform cytotoxicity and other cell-based assays
- Perform IND-enabling assays per SOPs with proper documentation
- Perform lab tasks per cGLP and lab safety policies/SOPs
- Maintain accurate records and electronic laboratory notebook
- Contribute to process improvements and implementation of new technologies
- Perform flow cytometry assays
Required Qualifications:
- MS in Biology/Bioengineering (or related) with 0β3 years; or BS with 2β4+ years in biotech
- Aseptic techniques and human tissue handling
- Mammalian cell husbandry expertise; media preparation; generating/managing cell banks
- Flexibility to learn new techniques
- Highly organized; excellent attention to detail; work independently with training
- Clear written communication; strong record-keeping
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with primary cells and iPSC-derived cell culture
- Team orientation and continuous self-development
- Industry/startup experience; good documentation practices
- Flow cytometry experience (plus)
