Responsibilities:
- Take over coverage of the greenfield infrastructure finance market in North America.
- Pitch and write at least 3β5 exclusives per week and/or 6β8 other proprietary pieces per week.
- Write business news stories with rolling deadlines, leveraging IJGlobal data.
- Build and maintain broad, high-level market contacts through daily telephone calls (e.g., investors, developers, bankers, lawyers, regulators) and frequent in-person/virtual meetings.
- Produce regular analysis content.
- Write case studies and support the data team.
- Collaborate with other team members and functions.
Qualifications:
- Excellent written English.
- Minimum 2β3 yearsβ experience as a financial journalist.
- Strong reporting and interviewing skills.
- Infrastructure project finance knowledge/experience advantageous; may also consider experience in debt capital markets, structured finance, or asset-backed finance.
- Ability to network well and build a strong book of contacts.
- Willing to make cold calls.
- Efficient, organized, and able to meet deadlines.
- Team player and strong communicator.
