Role Summary
Senior Project Manager, Project Delivery-MedTech responsible for leading large, complex MedTech capital projects at Johnson & Johnson Surgical Vision in Añasco, Puerto Rico. You will drive project delivery from ideation through execution and handover, ensuring safety, quality, regulatory compliance, and on-time delivery. This role requires cross-functional collaboration with Real Estate and Facilities Management, EHS, ITS, and affiliate Engineering Groups, and strong leadership to manage risk, budgets, and schedules while delivering innovative MedTech solutions.
Responsibilities
- Take lead on projects at all stages, from ideation to assessment
- Build collaboration across different functional areas with business partners
- Build alignment with Sponsor, aligns Core and Extended team to deliver the Final Project Objectives
- Manage project planning, tracking, and reporting against key deliverables
- Establish key performance indicators and implement plans to meet and identify areas of improvement
- Facilitate and lead the front-end loading activities to achieve a capital appropriation approval
- Follow the Project Execution Plan methodology to achieve the desired business results
- Develop risk management methodology to identify, evaluate, and mitigate risks to achieve project objectives
- Coordinate and lead project-related activities, including managing internal resources and third-party contractors
- Lead all stages of the design process, ensuring implementation of design elements
- Implement J&J standards, guidelines, and regulatory requirements
- Facilitate and coordinate the closeout of all the project activities ensuring operational handover, and provide feedback for continuous improvement
Qualifications
- Required: Minimum of 10 years of Project Management experience
- Required: Experience managing medium to large manufacturing related capital projects
- Required: Strong technical knowledge and ability to lead and motivate teams
- Required: Experience managing portfolio of projects
- Required: Excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
- Required: Strong understanding of project controls, budget management, and scheduling
- Preferred: Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent
- Preferred: Manufacturing experience in FDA or other regulated environments
- Preferred: Familiarity with J&J Project Management approaches (FPX, IDEA, Project Delivery Process)
Education
- University/Bachelor's or equivalent degree in Engineering or Architecture is required

- Travel: Up to 10% domestic travel
