Responsibilities:
- Lead operational design and execution of patient-facing clinical nurse educator programs managed via a third-party nursing vendor.
- Serve as operational lead for the nursing vendor: establish operational guidelines, support trainer nurses/patient relationship, create process maps/workflow models, manage weekly updates, non-clinical training scheduling, Navigator interactions, and monthly nurse-engagement reporting/metrics; integrate CRM; determine post-training transition of patient information to specialty pharmacy.
- Create/maintain business rules, work instructions, and SOPs; partner with legal/compliance for alignment and approvals.
- Proactively monitor/mitigate execution risks; optimize program design/operations to meet objectives and deliver a streamlined patient experience.
- Develop and maintain scorecards/dashboards; use analytics to identify trends and drive actions.
- Manage vendor performance against KPIs; lead program/project management and QBR planning/execution; ensure SOP adherence for compliance; maintain/monitor program budget.
- Coach across Patient Relations teams; collaborate to integrate the program into the end-to-end patient journey/United Therapeutics Cares; partner with departmental training leads on training objectives/measures of success.
- Assist Clinical Product Training Management with managing and training nurses/the nursing company.
- Ensure patient relations activities comply with applicable laws and company policies.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree (life sciences/business/related) + 10+ years relevant experience, or Master’s degree + 8+ years relevant experience; includes progressive operations design/implementation/execution/program management.
- 5+ years life science/pharma/biotech experience including patient support programs, case management, and adherence program designs.
- Strong project management; experience managing day-to-day operations of complex programs incl. vendor management.
- Strong communication/interpersonal skills; ability to engage cross-functionally.
- Strong CRM knowledge; compliance mindset/attention to detail.
- Empathy and patient-centric mindset.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office; Visio (or similar) process mapping.
- Experience with specialty pharmacy-led patient support programs.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in related field.
- Tableau (or similar BI tools) experience.
- Rare disease and/or complex therapy administration experience.
