Senior Program Manager, CMC Portfolio Management

Operations
Responsibilities:
- Independently provide advanced project management support to multiple complex drug development and on-market LCM projects, including creation/maintenance of CMC technical plans in Asset Management Platform (AMP), PPDST roster management, and timeline swimlanes.
- Lead PPDST Team meetings (agenda, action items, discussion facilitation); drive accountability to meet deliverables.
- Develop planning scenarios, identify/monitor/analyze business risks, conduct root cause analyses and recommend corrective actions.
- Manage activities to ensure teams have the right tools, reports, and data for accurate resource estimates.
- Support communication of knowledge management materials (e.g., SharePoint/Teams) for PPDST teams.
- Lead cross-functional process improvement projects; convert goals to tasks, coordinate execution, estimate/manage requirements, and inform management of progress/milestones.
- Apply advanced project management principles to coordinate and complete goals/tasks; prioritize effectively.
- Advise peer Project Managers/PPDST Co-Chairs on monthly plan issues/timelines; submit change request data entry; define performance expectations and assess progress.
- Use project management tools for metrics collection and advanced analysis; develop guidelines/checklists.
- Serve as local expert on business procedures; provide training/presentations; mentor junior staff.
- Build and maintain internal/external stakeholder networks; manage team behaviors, mediate disputes, facilitate high-performing teams; may manage Sr. Specialists.

Qualifications:
- Bachelorโ€™s in technical/scientific field + 8+ years in pharma/biotech, or Masterโ€™s + 6+ years, or Doctorate + 2+ years.
- 2+ years project management experience, including leadership of a cross-functional team; ability to work independently and represent strategies.
- Highly preferred: project management/process improvement accreditation (e.g., PMP, LEAN Six Sigma).
- Leadership skills: strong written/interpersonal communication; ability to present/influence/justify proposals; judgment; negotiation/conflict management; cross-cultural/disciplines communication; relationship building/teamwork; training experience.
- Knowledge of the drug development process.
- Preferred: cross-functional/global team leadership experience; CMC experience.
- Required: proficiency with project management/business tools (e.g., MS Office, MS Project, Qlikview, Spotfire).
