Key Objectives/Deliverables
- Project Management: Lead and manage teams to deliver capital asset programs of at least $1B USD (business-critical), from front-end planning (conceptual design) to operational qualification (cradle to grave), ensuring safety, cost, schedule, and quality.
- Interface/Communication: Lead from a regional distance; maintain effective communication with GFD leadership, project team, governance teams, business partners, and stakeholders; resolve issues and anticipate scope changes while delivering safely with quality, speed, and value.
- Compliance: Use a disciplined, structured project management approach aligned with Company Policies and Procedures.
- Safety/Environment: Develop and maintain safety and environmental execution plans; ensure compliance for project personnel, contractors, and subcontractors from conceptual design through operational verification.
Minimum Requirements
- BS in Engineering or a technical related field (e.g., project management).
- 15+ yearsβ experience delivering capital projects in industrial/manufacturing facilities (preferably leading multiple projects >$100MM).
- Experience managing greenfield projects.
- Willingness to relocate and/or travel outside home state/country.
Additional Preferences
- Pharmaceutical manufacturing experience; GMP manufacturing; LEAN; automation; construction; construction quality; project controls; safety; scheduling.
- Ability to achieve results and influence through people; work from long distances with little supervision.
- Strong written/verbal communication; good independent judgment; influence without direct administrative authority.
- Foreign language(s); PE or equivalent; PMP.
- Experience working/living outside the U.S.; continuous improvement mindset.
Additional Information
- International travel likely (~15β30%), including weekends and multi-week stays; onsite presence and full relocation later required.
