Key Objectives/Deliverables
- Project Management: Lead and manage teams to deliver large capital asset programs of at least $1B USD in highly business-critical work (front-end planning through operational qualification “cradle to grave”). Deliver asset capability/capacity with safety, cost, schedule, and quality.
- Interface/Communication: Lead from a regional distance while maintaining communication with GFD leadership, the project team, governance teams, business partners, and stakeholders; facilitate issue resolution and safely implement scope changes.
- Compliance: Use a disciplined, structured project management approach aligned with Company Policies and Procedures.
- Safety/Environment: Develop and maintain safety and environmental execution plans; ensure compliance from conceptual design through operational verification.
Minimum Requirements
- BS in Engineering or a technical related field (e.g., project management).
- 15+ years capital project delivery experience in industrial/manufacturing facilities (preferably leading projects/multiple projects >$100MM).
- Experience managing greenfield projects.
- Willingness to relocate and/or travel outside home state/country.
Additional Preferences
- Pharmaceutical manufacturing experience (e.g., Bulk API, sterile products, secondary packaging, devices).
- Experience with GMP, LEAN, automation, construction/quality, project controls, engineering disciplines, safety, and scheduling.
- Ability to influence through people; work with little supervision remotely; strong judgment; written/verbal communication.
- Ability to influence without administrative responsibility; foreign language competency.
- Professional Engineer (PE) or equivalent; PMP certification.
- Experience working/living outside the U.S.; continuous improvement mindset.
Additional Information
- International travel likely (~15%–30%), including weekends and multi-week stays.
- Full relocation to project location later due to onsite presence.
