Key Objectives/Deliverables
- Project Management: Lead and manage teams to deliver capital asset programs of at least $1BN USD that are business-critical. Safely achieve objectives from front-end planning (conceptual design) through operational qualification (cradle to grave), ensuring safety, cost, schedule, and quality.
- Interface/Communication: Lead from a regional distance from corporate headquarters; maintain communication with leadership, teams, governance, business partners, and stakeholders. Facilitate issue resolution, anticipate scope changes, and deliver safely with quality, speed, and value.
- Compliance: Use a disciplined, structured project management approach aligned with company policies and procedures.
- Safety/Environment: Develop and maintain safety and environmental execution plans. Ensure compliance from conceptual design through operational verification.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering or a technical related field (e.g., project management).
- 15+ yearsβ capital project delivery experience in industrial/manufacturing facilities (preferably leading projects/multiple projects >$100MM).
- Experience managing greenfield projects.
- Willingness to relocate and/or travel outside home state/country.
Additional Preferences
- Pharmaceutical manufacturing experience (e.g., Bulk API, sterile products, secondary packaging, devices; lab projects to a lesser extent).
- Experience with GMP manufacturing, LEAN, automation, construction, construction quality, project controls, engineering disciplines, safety, and scheduling.
- Ability to influence through people; work long distances with little supervision; strong judgment; written/verbal communication; influence without direct administrative responsibility.
- Foreign language competency; PE or equivalent; PMP certification; experience living/working outside the U.S.; continuous improvement/agent for change.
Additional Information
- International travel likely (~15%β30%), including weekends and multi-week stays.
- Requires full relocation to the project location later due to onsite presence.
