The Senior Production Planner is responsible for developing, maintaining, and executing detailed production plans and schedules for assigned manufacturing sites and product portfolios. This role reporting to the Sr. Manager, Production Planning TT, it will play a critical part in translating supply plans and demand signals into executable production schedules while managing capacity, materials, and execution risks. The Senior Production Planner partners closely with Manufacturing, Global Supply Planning, Quality, and Procurement to ensure stable execution and consistent service performance. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactory. Develop and maintain detailed production schedules aligned with global supply plans, frozen horizons, and site-level constraints. Analyze capacity, labor, and material constraints; propose feasible schedule adjustments to maintain service levels. Execute near-term planning decisions to stabilize production flow and minimize schedule volatility. Serve as the primary point of contact for production scheduling within assigned value streams or manufacturing lines. Coordinate with Procurement and Inventory teams to ensure material availability for scheduled production. Monitor daily and weekly execution against plan; identify deviations and initiate corrective actions. Support scenario planning for demand changes, capacity constraints, and supply disruptions. Maintain accuracy of production-related master data including lead times, routings, BOMs, and calendars. Support adherence to planning governance, frozen windows, and escalation processes. Identify recurring planning and execution issues; lead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions. Leverage ERP and planning systems to improve visibility, reporting, and exception management. Mentor junior production planners and schedulers through informal coaching and best-practice sharing. DESIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required for this position. Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, or related field. 5–7 years of experience in production planning, manufacturing scheduling, or supply chain roles. Strong understanding of MRP, capacity planning, and manufacturing execution concepts. Proficiency in ERP and planning systems such as Oracle, SAP, or similar platforms. Experience working in regulated manufacturing environments preferred. APICS certification a plus. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong communication skills, both oral, written and electronic form Effective communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally in fast-paced environments. Analytical and problem-solving skills Must be punctual, reliable, and efficient Must be very detail oriented and organized, able to multi-task Knowledge and experience working with MRO/ERP systems, Oracle R12 is a plus Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially excel; must be able to create and maintain spreadsheets. Must demonstrate proactive problem-solving skills Working knowledge of quality systems requirements (QSR) and good manufacturing practices (GMP) Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Demonstrated ability to manage execution risk and prioritize effectively. Excellent organization and prioritization skills Excellent problem-solving and interpersonal skills; ability to display sound judgement TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT USED Ability to utilize a computer, telephone, fax and copy machine as well as other general office equipment. Individual pay is determined by several factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. In addition to base pay, employees may be eligible for bonus, commission, equity or other variable compensation.
