The Position
Production accounting subject matter expert for manufacturing-related financial processes within DPM US. Ensures accurate accounting treatment of manufacturing transactions, inventory valuation, standard costing, period-end close, and production-related financial reporting in a regulated environment (IFRS and Novo Nordisk governance).
Essential Functions
- Ensure accurate accounting for production-related transactions within assigned scope
- Validate production cost allocations and inventory postings (IFRS/policies)
- Manage inventory accounting (raw materials, WIP, finished goods)
- Support standard costing and annual cost roll processes
- Analyze cost development, inventory movements, and variances
- Drive month/quarter/year-end close and financial reporting
- Prepare/review journal entries, reconciliations, and balance sheet documentation
- Maintain internal controls; support audits; identify risks and investigate discrepancies
- Provide accounting guidance; improve transparency; drive standardization/automation
- Support system/process changes related to manufacturing and inventory accounting
Qualifications
- Required: Master’s in Accounting/Finance/Economics/Business Admin (or related) + 7 years relevant experience; OR Bachelor’s + 9 years relevant experience
- Required skills: technical accounting/financial reporting; inventory & manufacturing accounting; standard costing; close processes; balance sheet reconciliations; internal controls; SAP/ERP; advanced Excel/analytics; English proficiency
- Preferred: regulated industry experience; IFRS knowledge; SAP S/4HANA; process improvement/automation; external/internal audit experience; CPA/CMA/ACCA/etc.
