Responsibilities
- Own and lead the product roadmap, development, launch, and adoption of molecule design solutions across multiple departments.
- Define strategic direction for molecule design tools with GenAI at the core.
- Partner with Onyx tech teams and R&D scientists/leaders to deliver cloud-based products with GenAI/agentic capabilities.
- Develop product strategy and roadmap; conduct customer research and translate insights into requirements.
- Lead agile product development (prioritization, sprint planning, backlog management).
- Spearhead GenAI agent capabilities: human-agent interaction layer, model/agent lifecycle (data acquisition, fine-tuning), and APIs/agents as βtools.β
- Apply Model-In-The-Loop design to enable user challenge/verification/feedback.
- Lead technical product discussions; translate scientific objectives into requirements.
- Drive cross-functional collaboration and product launch, adoption, and ongoing performance optimization.
Qualifications (Required)
- PhD (2 years), MS (4 years), or BS (6 years).
- Bachelorβs degree in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Cheminformatics, AI/ML, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related.
- 4+ years product management; shipped 0-to-1 AI/GenAI/LLM/autonomous-agent software in commercial/enterprise settings.
- Experience with vector databases, MLOps, retrieval-augmented generation, model fine-tuning.
- Cloud-native experience (AWS/GCP/Azure), API design, and infrastructure for scaling LLM apps.
Preferred
- Launched AI agents using tools (APIs/function calling) for complex multi-step actions.
- GenAI-focused engineering/data science background.
- Transformer model architecture familiarity; trade-offs among proprietary/open-source/custom fine-tuning.
- Experience with unstructured biomedical data; MCP implementation; product management tools (Jira/Confluence/etc.); life sciences/biopharma R&D experience.
Benefits/Compensation (Explicit)
- US base salary (locations listed): $147,675β$246,125; annual bonus; share-based long-term incentive eligibility; health/insurance, retirement, paid holidays/vacation, and paid caregiver/parental and medical leave.
