Role Summary

Senior Product Director, Evidence presentation and submission will act as a technology disruption thought leader, partnering with business stakeholders to reimagine end-to-end ways of working using technology. Responsible for curating, championing, and managing a 3-year product vision for a portfolio of technology products across their lifecycle, in partnership with internal and external technology delivery partners.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Vision and Business Case Development: Define and champion a 3-year transformative vision for how technology (including AI) can accelerate drug development, articulate strategic opportunities, quantify value, and secure executive sponsorship.
  • People Leadership and Development: Lead and develop a high-performing team of Product Owners and Product Designers, fostering autonomy, transformation, user-centricity, agile practices, and continuous learning.
  • Business Disruption and Process Reimagination: Guide discovery and design of integrated digital ecosystems to re-engineer end-to-end R&D processes, break down silos, and create data-driven workflows for scientists and clinicians.
  • Strategic Portfolio and Investment Management: Own strategic curation and financial oversight of the product portfolio, including investments, prioritization, decommissioning, and budget management.
  • Executive Stakeholder Influence: Partner with VPs and senior leadership to build consensus and align on technology vision at the highest levels.
  • Enterprise Collaboration and Ecosystem Integration: Collaborate with peers to create a cohesive end-to-end technology strategy, aligning roadmaps and managing cross-portfolio dependencies.
  • Delivery Excellence and Partner Ecosystem Oversight: Provide strategic delivery oversight, hold internal and external partners accountable, and ensure efficient, scalable, and high-quality delivery.
  • Quality, Risk & Compliance: Oversee quality and compliance, ensuring secure, resilient products that meet internal policies and external regulatory requirements, with proactive risk management and continuity planning.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree or equivalent in a scientific field (e.g., computer science, engineering, mathematics) or related quantitative discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience leading technology-focused transformation initiatives.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in digital product management, including leading product teams.
  • Significant experience in the life sciences industry.
  • Executive Influence and Stakeholder Management: Proven ability to partner with and influence senior executives to drive complex technology decisions and secure buy-in with measurable impact.
  • Leadership and Team Development: Experience leading and scaling product leaders in a global, matrixed organization, fostering excellence and empowerment.
  • Strategic Technology Vision: Deep knowledge of emerging technologies (including Generative AI/ML) and ability to translate opportunities into executable visions.
  • Business Transformation Leadership: Track record of re-engineering processes, redesigning operating models, and delivering outcomes in regulated environments.
  • Strategic Product and Portfolio Management: Experience owning a digital product portfolio, roadmaps, business cases, investments, and budgets; engaging in external innovation.
  • Strategic Problem-Solving: Ability to navigate ambiguity, analyze details, and provide clear strategic direction.
  • Domain Expertise: Direct experience in Pharmaceutical R&D, clinical development, or related scientific domain.

Education

  • Masters degree or equivalent in a scientific area or related quantitative discipline.
