Production Senior Process Operator
Responsibilities:
- Operate, challenge, and clean equipment per SOPs, JSAs, ZSPs, cGMPs, and batch documentation; maintain inspection readiness.
- Monitor equipment for excessive rejects/stoppages; use performance data to escalate issues impacting quality, safety, or line performance.
- Perform/changeover and start-of-batch setup to design specifications; complete SAP changeover tasks.
- Act as SME for systems interaction/operations; be proficient in relevant SOPs/JSAs/OSW.
- Participate in GSK Production System standards (5S, standard work, problem solving, Gemba, process confirmations, performance management) aiming for Zero Accidents/Defects/Waste.
- Meet safety, quality, waste, and performance objectives; recommend process improvements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve minor production stoppages.
- Use required systems/applications (e.g., DELTA, my Learning, Free Weigh, DISY, Active Plant, IP21, SAP basic transactions).
- Coordinate with associates/technicians and provide information to supervisory level.
Basic qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 5+ years Production Operator experience
- 3+ years at GSK
- OJT certified in all packaging work centers (or majority of manufacturing work centers)
- Demonstrated performance in all Process Operator roles
Preferred qualifications:
- Associate degree (or equivalent)
- Basic reading/writing/math; MS Word/Excel
- Mechanical inclination; ability to learn equipment/instruments for medical device/pharma production
- Strong documentation attention; follow written/verbal instructions
Skills/traits (summary):
- Hand tools; data analysis; visual inspection/detail; OEE understanding; independent work; train others; problem solving (6-step root cause).
Physical job requirements:
- Ability to stand/walk/lift (up to 40 lbs.) and wear PPE; work in manufacturing environment; work overtime and up to 12.5 hrs/shift.
