      Role Summary
Senior Process Operator (2nd Shift) at Zebulon, NC. Responsible for operating, challenging, and cleaning equipment in accordance with SOPs, JSAs, and batch documents to produce high-quality products safely. Monitor equipment for rejects, perform changeovers, and act as SME for system interactions and operations.
 Responsibilities
- Operates, challenges, replenishes consumables, cleans equipment, and performs duties per cGMPs, Batch Documentation, SOPs, ZSPs and JSAs; maintain area inspection readiness with minimal supervision.
 - Monitor equipment for excessive rejects/stoppages; escalate issues affecting product quality, safety, and line performance using performance data.
 - Learns and applies GSK Production System standards (5S, standard work, problem solving, Gemba, process confirmations, performance management) towards zero incidents and waste.
 - Participates in performance management, problem solving steps, and maintains OSW and 5S.
 - Delivers against safety, quality, waste, and performance objectives; identifies and recommends process improvements or alternative methods to increase efficiency.
 - Act as an expert on operations/process; troubleshoot and resolve minor production stoppages.
 - Remains reliable, producing high-quality and high-quantity work; uses systems/applications (e.g., DELTA, my Learning, Free Weigh, DISY, Active Plant, IP21, SAP basic transactions).
 - Collaborates with associates, assistants, and technicians to troubleshoot and communicate with the next supervisory level; describe operation theory and sensor functions.
 - Conducts equipment set-up, changeovers, and start of batch activities to designed specifications; certify on multiple technologies as needed.
 
 Qualifications
- Required: High School Diploma or GED
 - Required: 5+ years of experience in a Production Operator role
 - Required: 3+ years' experience working at GSK
 - Required: OJT certified in all work centers in packaging or majority of manufacturing work centers
 - Required: Demonstrated performance in all Process Operator roles
 - Preferred: Associate degree or equivalent education
 - Preferred: Basic reading, writing, mathematical skills; basic computer skills (MS Word, MS Excel)

 Additional Requirements
- Physical: ability to climb, kneel, stoop, balance, crawl, crouch, reach, sit, stand, walk, push, pull, grasp, feel, talk, hear, lift up to 40 lbs; protective gear as required
 - Must be able to work overtime; on-site manufacturing environment with exposure to noise and moving parts
 - Shift suitability: 2nd shift; ability to work up to 12.5 hours
