Responsibilities:
- Provide technical assessment and support for production operations for developing/sustaining process knowledge, process & equipment support, process optimization, equipment capability & asset management, and engineering business systems for small-molecule API manufacturing.
- Perform impact and risk assessments for unit operations.
- Learn lab/plant reactor design, including automation recipes and procedures.
- Ensure safety for people and environment and follow company safety policies.
- Ensure processing equipment complies with internal Quality System requirements, applicable engineering standards, and cGMP requirements.
- Assess rig fit by reviewing technical data packages for new processes and performing modeling/simulations and/or experimental work for scale-up (heat/mass transfer).
- Communicate with HSE, Quality Assurance, Tech Services, Development, Operations, FUME/C&Q, Automation, Maintenance, Environmental Monitoring, and Manufacturing.
- Author/review/approve technical reports and regulatory submissions; maintain records/technical notebooks.
- Proactively identify quality issues and apply a quality approach.
- Develop/review project plans and timetables.

Basic Requirements:
- BS or MS in Chemical Engineering (or related engineering).
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in pharmaceutical/biotech/chemical manufacturing/CMO or other relevant batch manufacturing.
- Authorized to work in the US full-time; no visa sponsorship.

Additional Preferences:
- Experience supporting API/intermediate/chemical development or manufacturing.
- Unit operations knowledge (reactions, distillation, phase separation, filtration, drying).
- Software: DeltaV, Dynochem, Aspen, and/or electronic lab notebooks.
- Strong analytical/problem-solving and communication skills.
- Initiative/accountability; work on a diverse process team.
- Understanding of process control systems; improvement mindset; mentoring/mentoring experience; flexibility.
