Role: Senior Principal Scientist of Microscopy leading Regeneron's Imaging Sciences microscopy function. Responsibilities: set scientific strategy for cellular imaging, evaluate emerging microscopy technologies, provide expert consultation on experimental design, oversee team development, and manage operational planning. Lead advanced microscopy approaches including super-resolution, spectral, live-cell, high-content, and multidimensional imaging; integrate microscopy with other imaging platforms to support discovery, translational science, and early therapeutic programs. Requirements: Ph.D. in relevant biological or physical sciences; 5+ years postdoctoral/industry experience; proven leadership in microscopy core facilities; expertise in advanced microscopy techniques, cell biology, optical physics, and image analysis; track record of research publications; project management skills. Preferred: external reputation in imaging sciences, experience with spatial omics, AI-enabled image analysis, and building or transforming imaging centers. Success will be measured by establishing a strategic roadmap, mentoring a high-performing team, expanding imaging capabilities, and fostering partnerships across research teams. Location: Tarrytown, NY, on-site. The role involves scientific leadership, cross-functional collaboration within discovery and translational teams, and building a future-oriented imaging platform focused on innovation and technical excellence.
