Position Summary
Senior Principal Scientist, Cancer Immunology (Discovery Biology) to advance T cell engager and cancer immunology therapies; drive projects from concept to clinic in Seattle, WA.
Position Responsibilities
- Lead matrixed TCE/cancer immunology discovery teams from target concept to IND; lead/mentor a biology team supporting in vitro experimentation.
- Deploy existing and new function-based techniques to identify and select lead drug candidates.
- Shape overall strategy and inform next-wave therapeutic innovation.
- Collaborate with pharmacology, DMPK, and bioinformatics to drive programs forward, including prioritization and risk.
- Collaborate with external partners’ multidisciplinary teams to advance assets.
- Present complex concepts to governance and project meetings; communicate via email, meetings, and reports.
Experience / Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s + 10+ years (academic and/or industry)
- or Master’s + 8+ years (academic and/or industry)
- or Ph.D. (or equivalent life sciences advanced degree) + 6+ years (academic and/or industry) and 2+ years leadership.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ph.D./life sciences + 6+ years industry and 2+ years leadership.
- Experience in novel cancer immune therapeutics (T cell redirected therapies), T cell engager discovery, tumor microenvironment immune-function profiling, high-throughput and cell-based assays, interpreting in vivo functional assays.
- Matrixed discovery concept-to-IND experience; experience contributing to an IND.
- Strong leadership/communication; manage multiple projects; interpret complex data; mentor in vitro biologists; demonstrated use of AI for strategic/tactical planning.
Compensation & Benefits
- Seattle, WA: $174,020–$210,872; additional incentive cash/stock may be available.
