Position Summary:
Senior Principal Scientist (Discovery Biology) – Immunologist and leader to shape T cell engager and cancer immunology therapy strategy; drive projects from concept to clinic in Seattle, WA; mentor junior scientists and lead multi-functional teams.

Position Responsibilities:
- Lead matrixed TCE/cancer immunology discovery teams from target concept to IND; lead/mentor a biology team supporting in vitro experimentation.
- Deploy existing and new techniques for function-based identification and selection of lead drug candidates.
- Leverage experience to shape overall strategy and inform next-wave therapeutic innovation.
- Collaborate with functional area leads (e.g., pharmacology, DMPK, bioinformatics) to drive programs, define priorities and risks.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary external partner teams to advance assets.
- Present complex concepts to governance and project meetings; use strong communication and interpersonal skills (email, meetings, reports).

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s + 10+ years academic and/or industry experience; or
- Master’s + 8+ years academic and/or industry experience; or
- Ph.D./advanced Life Sciences + 6+ years academic/industry experience; 2+ years leadership experience.

Preferred Qualifications/Skills:
- Industry experience; 2+ years leadership.
- Experience developing novel cancer immune therapeutics (T cell redirected therapies).
- Profiling/developing complex biologics to enhance tumor microenvironment immune function; strong T cell engager discovery.
- High-throughput screening and complex cell-based assays; interpret in vivo functional assays.
- Lead/collaborate across matrixed discovery programs from concept to IND; contribute to an IND.
- Ability to manage multiple projects; summarize complex data clearly; lead/coach lab-based in vitro biologists; excellent oral/written communication; governance communication; problem-solving; leverage AI for strategic/tactical planning.
