Role Summary

Senior/Principal Scientist-ADME responsible for the development, optimization, and execution of molecular biology and ligand binding assays to quantify biotherapeutic and new modality molecules, and for implementing liquid handling automation to streamline assay formats.

Responsibilities

  • The development, optimization, and execution of molecular biology and ligand binding assays to quantify biotherapeutic and new modality molecules in a wide variety of biological matrices.
  • The development and implementation of liquid handling automation, including programming, streamline molecular biology and ligand binding assay formats.
  • Documentation, interpretation, and communication of research results to internal leadership and therapeutic area program teams.
  • Conduct laboratory research in a relatively independent fashion and with the flexibility to support a highly multifaceted portfolio.

Qualifications

  • Required: M.S. in biochemistry/molecular biology, bioengineering, biology, pharmacology, or pharmaceutical sciences with at least 1-year of experience working in a pharmaceutical research environment. Candidates with a B.S. in one of the above disciplines with 5+ years of pharmaceutical research experience will be considered.
  • Required: Experience developing and utilizing immunoassays to study the ADME properties of biotherapeutic and new modality drugs.
  • Required: Experience using Tecan liquid handling automation to streamline molecular biology and immunoassay formats.
  • Required: Experience using Watson LIMS for analytical run creation and data analysis.
  • Required: Experience planning, record keeping, and data analysis skills.

Skills

  • Preferred: Experience with Hybridization ELISA, qPCR, and tissue preparation techniques.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Education

  • MS in biochemistry/molecular biology, bioengineering, biology, pharmacology, or pharmaceutical sciences; or BS with 5+ years of pharmaceutical research experience.
