Senior Principal Scientist 1

Role: Senior Principal Scientist 1 leading in vivo preclinical research for Halozyme’s drug delivery platform, focusing on subcutaneous (SC) technologies and device innovations. Objectives: support drug delivery and device research, develop technical innovations, and contribute to business growth through scientific leadership. Responsibilities: design and execute nonclinical in vivo studies using large and small animal models, collaborate cross-functionally to interpret data, prepare regulatory and study documentation, and support clinical/regulatory filings. Engage in technological development, generate IP, publish scientific findings, and provide preclinical support for novel delivery technologies. Qualifications: Ph.D. in physiology, pharmacology, pharmaceutical sciences, or related field with at least 10 years of industrial experience; expertise in SC drug delivery, in vivo models, and medical device familiarity (auto-injectors/on-body systems preferred); strong scientific publication record; proficiency with data analysis tools; leadership and communication skills. High-Value: focus on drug delivery modalities, preclinical model expertise, device research, and regulatory support; travel up to 20%; position involves collaboration across Product Development, Device, and Alliance teams.
