Senior Principal Research Scientist Engineering

Role: Lead technical team in R&D Process Engineering at AbbVie, focusing on biologics, peptides, ADCs, and genetic medicines. Objectives: develop and scale robust manufacturing processes supporting clinical development, influence process strategies for novel modalities, and foster innovation. Responsibilities: direct process development and characterization, lead pilot plant scale-up, address biochemical reaction challenges, author technical and regulatory documents, and mentor team members. Qualifications: BS, MS, or PhD in Chemical/Bio Engineering with 10+ (PhD), 16+ (MS), or 18+ (BS) years of relevant experience in biopharmaceuticals; strong foundations in chemical engineering; proven leadership and problem-solving skills; excellent communication abilities.
