Sr. Principal – Materials and Supplier Management QA
Position Overview
- Provide technical and administrative leadership for materials and supplier quality systems for Lilly’s Advanced Therapies pharmaceutical manufacturing site.
Key Responsibilities
- Support QA vision/strategy and quality culture for site QA (materials management, supplier/service provider governance, logistics).
- Foster open communication, teamwork, and employee participation; support and lead safety efforts.
- Establish/maintain site material supplier program; maintain approved supplier list, Quality Agreements, risk assessments, and supplier performance reviews.
- Coordinate/write Supplier, Service Provider, and Affiliate Quality Agreements; support supplier/service provider approval and certification.
- Handle materials/supplier complaints (maintain database and track responses).
- QA support for warehouse/logistics: incoming receipt, sampling, testing, and material approvals.
- Review/approve materials management documents and GMP documentation (procedures, deviations, technical reports, specs, change controls).
- Support regulatory inspections; ensure inspection readiness and documentation.
- Serve as materials/vendor management QA SME for readiness, new product/process development, and tech transfer; perform SAP data steward functions.
Basic Requirements
- Bachelor’s in science/engineering/pharma field (or equivalent experience).
- Prior experience in Gene and Cell Therapies.
- 9+ years pharmaceutical Quality Assurance (including Materials QA); 3+ years supplier/material management in regulated environments; 1+ year SAP or inventory/material management systems.
- Authorized to work in the U.S. full-time; company does not sponsor visas.
Additional Skills/Preferences
- Knowledge of US/EU/Japanese/other regulations; strong communication, training/mentoring, problem-solving; Quality Management Systems.
- Experience with SAP/Veeva QDocs/TrackWise; technical writing; facility/area start-up; inspection execution; deviation/change management.

- Location: US (Lebanon, IN LP2). Travel: 10–25%. Shift: 8–12 hours, Mon–Fri.
