Senior Principal Engineer - Automation Engineering – Process, Lab & Enterprise Systems Integration-Lilly Medicine Foundry

Role: Senior Principal Automation Engineer supporting Lilly's new Medicines Foundry, focusing on process automation for GMP manufacturing. Responsibilities: provide automation support across site operations and capital projects, mentor automation teams, lead design reviews, develop and implement automation project plans, oversee control system configuration and validation, and support analytical and laboratory systems integration. Requirements: B.S. in Engineering or Science; 8+ years in automation engineering within biopharma or pharmaceutical manufacturing, with experience in lab/analytical systems (e.g., UHPLC, mass spectrometry), system integration, and GMP compliance. High-Value: biopharma manufacturing (biologics or cell/gene therapy), GMP, process automation, DCS/SCADA systems (DeltaV, Rockwell), laboratory and analytical systems, supporting greenfield site startup (2025-2029). Collaboration with process engineering, project teams, and external vendors. Location: permanent at the new Lilly Medicines Foundry in Lebanon, Indiana.
